The Massachusetts Building Congress (MBC) invites nominations for exceptional leaders to serve on our 2026 Board of Directors and Committees.
Board and Committee members play a vital role in advancing MBC’s mission - educating the trades on climate action, empowering emerging professionals, expanding engagement across the building trades, and convening leadership across the built environment.

The following positions are as defined:
- Chair-Elect (1-Year Term) – Prepares to lead MBC by supporting the Chair and guiding strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Vice Chair (1-Year Term) – Provides leadership in key focus areas such as programs, membership, and industry engagement to advance MBC’s mission.
- Secretary (1-Year Term) – Maintains accurate Board records and supports communication and governance documentation.
- Director (2026–2029, 3-Year Term) – Contributes expertise and leadership to MBC’s programs, partnerships, and strategic direction.
- Programs Committee – Develops and delivers timely, relevant events and panels that connect leaders and showcase innovation across the built environment.
- Member and Sponsorship Committee – Strengthens and diversifies MBC’s member community through outreach, engagement, and retention strategies. Builds relationships with corporate partners to sustain MBC programming and highlight sponsor visibility and impact.
- Emerging Professionals Committee – Engages the next generation of industry professionals through networking, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Communications & Marketing Committee – Shapes MBC’s message, manages visibility, and promotes events through strategic storytelling and digital outreach.
- Climate Action & Sustainability Committee – Leads conversations and education around decarbonization, resilience, and sustainable practices within the built environment.
