From Pandemic to Payment - Practical Advice for Resolving Covid-19 Construction Claims
Speaker: Eric Schatz, PE, PSP, LEED AP, Vice President, Arcadis
    Moderator: Michael P. Sams, Co-Founder, Kenney & Sams P.C.

No industry has escaped impact from the COVID-19 pandemic. Construction projects are delayed, work conditions are changed, and there are labor and material shortages, all leading to added costs. How will these issues be resolved?
This program will address strategies for evaluating and resolving claims and additional costs from both the owner/contract administration and contractor perspectives. While the resolution of these issues may be clear on some projects, nothing in construction is universal. With a specific focus on impacts caused by COVID, we will discuss:
    ·        Applying and interpreting relevant contract clauses
    ·        Determining and justifying project delays
    ·        Identifying and documenting additional costs
This is the time to address disputes. Learn how to utilize "softer skills" to resolve disputes and reach collaborative resolutions.
