Carolyn Desmond

Carolyn has over 15 years of experience in real estate development working on complex projects ranging from office, mixed-use, multifamily condominiums and apartments, and urban retail. She has managed all aspects of the real estate development process including acquisition, financing, design development, construction oversight, leasing, and divestment.

Carolyn has spent the last 9 years with Skanska Commercial Development in various roles and offices. Her most recent notable role was overseeing the development of 121 Seaport Boulevard, a 400,000SF office tower in the Seaport neighborhood of Boston. In 2013/14 Carolyn spent 1 year in Warsaw, Poland with Skanska’s European development operations leading design and development efforts for a 1million SF high rise office project.  Prior to joining Skanska in 2010, Carolyn worked for PN Hoffman & Associates in Washington DC as Senior Manager for development where she was involved in all facets of development for large multi-family and mixed-use projects.

In her current Vice President role for Skanska, Carolyn oversees Two Drydock Avenue, a 230,000 SF office building in the Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park while serving as a leader for the local operations in the Boston office.

Carolyn received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Virginia.
