    Event Description:

    Cambridge Crossing (CX) is a 43-acre, 4.5 million-square-foot transit-oriented new neighborhood located at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston. Once complete, CX will offer 2.1 million-square-feet of state-of-the-art science and technology space, 2.4 million-square-feet of residential space that includes approximately 2,400 new units in addition to the 2,500 existing units in the neighborhood, and 100,000 square-feet of local and authentic retail for the community to enjoy. Eleven acres of activated open public and green space, including a central common, will benefit the thousands of incoming employees, residents, and neighbors adding to the already vibrant and innovative East Cambridge and Kendall Square communities, and the multiple modes of transportation including two MBTA lines will provide ease of accessibility. Developed by DivcoWest and designed by a renowned team of local architects, CX buildings and the entire neighborhood will be LEED certified and this new community will be the second Wired Score Certified Neighborhood development in the country providing seamless connectivity throughout. In 2020, Philips will call CX home bringing its North American Innovation Center to CX and in 2021 Sanofi will consolidate multiple MA locations into two buildings totaling approximately 900,000 sf.

    As Senior Managing Director and Head of Acquisitions for DivcoWest Real Estate Investments, Keith is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the company’s strategic business plan for the Eastern Region focused on acquisitions, financing, disposition and portfolio asset management.
    Since joining DivcoWest in 2006, Keith has led the strategy sourcing, underwriting, and execution of all investment opportunities in the Eastern Region. Keith has successfully managed numerous transactions totaling over $2 Bn of assets with a footprint over 5 million square feet.   Investments have spanned multiple sectors including office, laboratory, retail and multi-family.  In 2012 and 2014 Keith helped source DivcoWest’s entry into the Cambridge market with the purchases of The Davenport and One Kendall Square.  Later in 2015 Keith played a critical role  in the acquisitions of NorthPoint (now known as Cambridge Crossing), a 43-acre, 4.5 million square foot transit-oriented development located at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston which is positioned to create opportunities in a high demand and low supply market.
    Keith has 17 years of experience in real estate finance, acquisitions and asset management and graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

    As Managing Director of DivcoWest Real Estate Investments, Mark Roopenian leads all leasing initiatives of the Company’s Cambridge Crossing development, 43-acre, 4.5 million square foot transit-oriented development located at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston. Mark joined DivcoWest in 2015 bringing over 30 years of ground-up development and leasing experience having played significant roles in projects such as One International Place, John Hancock Tower, and Trip Advisor’s world headquarters. Mark has been deeply involved in all aspects of planning and permitting for Cambridge Crossing and is focused on attracting world-class tenants to the regions newest innovation community.
    Prior to joining DivcoWest, Mark was a Principal with Normandy Real Estate Partners, a leading real estate operator and investment manager, overseeing all leasing and development activities for the Greater Boston and Los Angeles markets. Prior to that Mark oversaw all leasing and suburban development activities for the Chiofaro Company, a Boston area real estate development firm. 
    Mark graduated from Boston College with a degree in Marketing and was a defensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League prior to starting his real estate career. A Boston native, Mark is active in numerous local community and charitable organizations including CASPAR, Cambridge Family & Children Services, East End House, CYO and others.

    Andrew Hall is Senior Vice President of Preconstruction at John Moriarty and Associates and has been with the firm for twenty years.  He is responsible for strategic direction of the company’s preconstruction efforts - balancing estimating, purchasing, and contracting efforts with the challenges of the market and client’s needs – helping align cost and design goals to end up at a predictable result.   Andrew’s focus has been on projects in the greater Cambridge lab market and he has been fully integrated with the DivcoWest team in assisting the development of Cambridge Crossing from the very inception of design since 2016.
